About Us

Reveille, founded in 1992, is a student-run, women’s a cappella group at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA.

We arrange all of our own music and our repertoire is varied and changes from year to year, except for a few traditional favorites. Our signature song, also our alumnae song, is “Make Me Lose Control” by Eric Carmen. New members learn this song by ear and master the “snaps” that go along with it as choreography.

During the school year, we enjoy having date parties, picnics, potlucks, movie nights, and emergency Chipotle and Wawa runs. We can also be found spending large amounts of our free time looking for sweet new reva-blue shoes and flair.

Performance Highlights

We perform at a range of traditional concerts throughout the year, from the fall and spring A Cappella Showcase events to the more laid-back Wren Ten concerts that take place once per semester.

In February, we love surprising our friends and family (and yours!) with our Valentine’s Day Serenades. We also enjoy singing at campus charity functions. One of our favorite gigs is the King and Queens Ball, the campus-wide spring formal where Reveille has the honor of leading the student body in the Alma Mater.

Every fall break, Reveille goes on our Fall Tour - we travel up and down the east coast to sing with other college a cappella groups and to perform for high schoolers, senior citizens, and our families and friends. A few of the college groups we’ve sung with are UVA’s Hullabahoos, the Johns Hopkins All-Nighters, the Tufts Beezlebubs, the Columbia Kingsmen, and the Haverford Mainliners.
